Tokyo Networking Society　って？

「日本には、沢山の外国人が住んでいるのに、どうして日本のドラマには彼らが描かれることがないのだろう？」

以前インタビューさせていただいた、ある外国人タレントさんの言葉です。

世界的な大都市東京において、沢山の人種がともに生活しながら触れ合う機会が限られている・・・とても寂しいことだと思いませんか？

そこで、これまで「世界に通用する日本人を育成するためのメディアを作ろう！」とともに頑張ってきたものが集まり、コミュニティを作ることにしました。

その名も「東京ネットワーキングソサエティ」。

Tokyo Networking Society、通称「tNs」です。

月に1度、「世界中の人と話がしたい！」と願う人たちを集めて楽しくお茶を飲もう、という気軽なコミュニティです。年齢は20~40代がメイン、さまざまなお仕事を頑張っていらっしゃる人たちに是非顔を出していただきたいと思っています。

ただし、「語学の勉強」「ナンパ」などの目的で来たいと思っている方は、申し訳ありませんがご遠慮ください。われわれの目的は異なるバックグラウンドを持つ皆さんにお互いの考えや価値観を語り合い、シェアして、ともに成長することです。違う国や文化への知識を深めることです。

初めは小さな一歩かもしれません。

しかし、きっといつか大きな実りを結ぶことを信じて、まずは「友達」を増やすことから始めていきたいと思います。

What is Tokyo Networking Society?

We are a group of friends interested in networking with people from all over the world as well as sharing ideas and thoughts. We're professionals in our 20's to 40's and we want to make more friends in Tokyo through monthly social meetings and occasional outings.

This is not an ordinary language exchange group or a place meant for nampa (to pick up Japanese women). Our goal is to create a space where all the participants, no matter where they are from, can share ideas and thoughts freely and improve mutual understanding between locals and Tokyo newcomers.

One of the organizers of the group, Ruriko, started a very successful social group named "Japanese and English Salon" in Cupertino, California (Silicon Valley) two years ago. Now that she works both in California and Tokyo, she wants to connect the Silicon Valley group with the Tokyo group.

We'd like the gathering to be an amicable and social experience, as well as an opportunity to make a wider circle of friends in the Tokyo area.
