In this Earthmate Talk, Robert and Dave walk down Telegraph.
- Robert: Hey Dave, hows it goin?
- Dave: Hey Rob. I'm doing just fine. Excellent weather today.
- R: Yeah, really nice. So where are you heading?
- D: Well, I gotta run by the record store and pick up some music. What about you?
- R: Oh I'm going down to Telegraph St. to look for some used CDs at Amoeba Records. They have some really cool stuff there.
- D: Yeah. So you wanna check that out together. I have some free time.
- R: Sure. Oh, by the way, did you get my email? We're having a bar-b-que at the park this weekend. Wanna come?
- D: That sounds nice. Yeah, if I can make the time.
- R: Why, whats up?
- D: Oh I just have to stop by the computer store and pick up some CDRs so I can burn my music to CD.
- R: Oh your working on a new DJ mix?
- D: Yeah, I wanna make a few copies so I can give it to some other DJs that are coming into town.
- R: Cool. So where are you DJing this weekend?
- D: Oh I'm gonna be playing at a club called Qool at 111 Minna St. Its by the big Sony building.
- R: Alright. When are you spinning?
- D: Well, if you get there by 10pm, you can get in for free.
- R: Sounds good. I'll try to make it. So maybe you can come to the bar-b-que then. We're gonna have it at the park in the daytime on Saturday.
- D: Ok, sounds good. So are you gonna be cooking a lot of meat and stuff?
- R: Well, we're gonna try to have a vegetarian selection.
- D: Cool.
- R: Yeah, I'm trying to eat more healthy food these days. Its hard, but little by little, I can do it.
- D: I know what you mean. I just wanna eat a big steak sometimes.
- R: I hear you. So where's this record store you want to go to?
- D: We walked right by it. I wanna check out that Amoeba store first.
- R: Oh ok. So are you looking for anything?
- D: Yeah, actually I'm looking for a song by The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
- R: Oh I love them. You know those guys are from L.A.
- D: Of course. A lot of their songs are about being in Los Angeles and California.
- R: Yeah, they're pretty cool. I saw them in concert years ago.
- D: Really, which concert?
- R: Oh it was called Lollapalooza. They had a bunch of famous bands playing.
- D: Cool. Yeah I wish I couldve seen that.
- R: Yeah. I was standing right by the mosh pit, where everyone was jumping around and bumping into eachother. It was crazy.
- D: Wow, did you jump around with them?
- R: Just for a little bit. I was happier to just watch the stage and listen to the songs. Oh hey can we stop by this place and get a sandwich. I'm starving.
- D: Sure, its ok by me, as long as we get to the record store before it closes.
- R: Oh ok, I'll get it to go. You want anything? Did you eat already?
- D: Uh, Yeah I'll get something.
- R: Alright.
Sandwich store guy: Can I help whoever's next?
- D: Uh...I'll get what he's having.
- R: I'll have the tuna sandwich on wheat bread...with uh...with everything on it.
- D: Uh, Ok. I'll have the same, but no pickles and mustard.
